2018 ACTION Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for Heart Attack Care Capital Region is one of 203 hospitals in the nation to earn this award from the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR ACTION Registry. This award recognizes a hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. Capital Region has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association’s clinical guidelines and recommendations. To earn this award, Capital Region has demonstrated sustained achievement in the ACTION Registry for eight consecutive quarters and has performed at the top level of standards for specific performance levels. Full participation in the registry engages hospitals in a robust quality improvement process, using data to drive improvements in adherence to guideline recommendations and overall quality of care provided to heart attack patients. 2018 Get With The Guidelines ® –Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association uses this award to recognize a hospital’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, which rely on the latest scientific evidence. Capital Region, a Level II Designated Stroke Center, earned this award by meeting specific quality achievement measures for the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients at a set level for a designated period.
